Real Madrid seems to be evolving strategically — not just on the pitch, but in how they’re structured financially. Opening up a small stake to outside investors could give them more firepower in the transfer market and long-term projects, while still preserving their member-owned identity.

US chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff General Dan Caine has arrived in Trinidad and Tobago for a meeting with Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
Caine, the primary military advisor to US President Donald Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and the UN National Security Council, arrived in TT around 11 am and is currently at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann's.
In a media release on November 24, the US embassy said the meeting will focus on the two nations’ strong bi-lateral relationship, strengthening regional stability and the vital importance to both countries of countering the illicit traffic in drugs and transnational criminal organisations.
Caine's arrival in TT follows two recent visits by the US 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit to TT for military drills with the TT Defence Force.
The USS Gravely, carrying members of the elite unit, arrived in TT from October 26-30.
A second visit by the unit took place from November 16-21.
US warships have been arriving in the Southern Caribbean since late August as part of an anti-drug trafficking operation, which has been supported by the TT government.
However, the presence of the warships has been criticised by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro who has accused the US of seeking regime change and TT of facilitating such.
Persad-Bissessar has insisted that the US operations are solely geared towards combating drug trafficking.

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (MoRDLG) is urging citizens to remain on high alert as the Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) remains in effect for Trinidad and Tobago following a full day of inclement weather on Tuesday, November 25, which resulted in localized flooding and rapidly rising river levels in several communities.
The alert, issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), remains in effect until 9:00 p.m. today.
Although weather conditions showed some improvement in parts of the country earlier in the day, the Ministry warned that runoff from sustained rainfall has significantly increased water levels along the Caroni River, with levels expected to approach critical thresholds. Authorities cautioned that brief, localized overspill remains possible, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas of the lower Caroni Basin.
Smaller watercourses and drains may also become overwhelmed during periods of heavy rainfall, particularly near the time of high tide at approximately 7:03 p.m.
The Ministry confirmed that localized street and residential flooding occurred in areas within the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation (PDRC) and the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation (SGRC). These incidents were described as short-term, and water levels have since begun to subside. At this time, there has been no significant or widespread impact reported.
Additional incidents recorded throughout the day included:
A fallen tree along the North Coast Road, Maracas Bay within the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation
A fallen utility pole along Siparia Old Road in the Siparia Borough Corporation
In both cases, Disaster Management Unit (DMU) teams and relevant response agencies were swiftly deployed, and the affected roadways have since been **cleared and are now fully

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, along with the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC), David L. Isom, recently visited the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Lake Erie (CG-70) while it operated in the Caribbean Sea.
During the visit, General Caine met with Sailors and thanked them for their professionalism, dedication, and continued outstanding service, including the sacrifices made by both the service members and their families while deployed and working over the Thanksgiving holiday period.
He received operational updates from the ship’s leadership and toured key areas aboard the vessel, gaining a firsthand understanding of the crew’s mission and ongoing responsibilities in the region.
Several Sailors were formally recognized for exceptional performance, and the Chairman expressed his appreciation to the entire crew for their continued commitment to excellence and mission readiness.
This engagement in the Caribbean came as part of wider regional interaction, which also included recent meetings in Trinidad and Tobago, where General Caine held discussions with Prime Minister Hon. Kamla Persad-Bissessar and senior government ministers on Tuesday November 25th, focused on strengthening cooperation on regional security and stability.
